HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY: My Tribute To Mothers

Mother's day is a celebration honoring mothers and motherhood, maternal bonds and the influence of mothers in the society. I have a wonderful woman for a mother and she has inspired me to write this tribute dedicating it to all mothers around the world, acknowledging their selfless love for humanity. Read on;


A mother's heart is a medley of love,
A pure heart of gold,

When the world turns their backs on me,
Mother is always there to believe in me.

For nine stressful months she carried me,
taking me wherever she went,

Tired but she kept the faith,
Weak but remained strong.

She endured so as to bring me to this world,
She groaned, and cried as she pushed,

And when her little one finally emerged,
She cried tears of joy.

That was just the beginning,
The beginning of a onerous task of motherhood,

The beginning of a bond that can never be severed,
The beginning of a love so strong that can never be broken.

Oh sweet mother,
My best friend,

How much i love you mother,
For your heart is a medley of love.
